This is the timeline for the Figbird's southward expansion:

pre-1900 north of Bellinger River
1921 Port Macquarie 
1941 Harrington & Hunter River
1944 Sydney
1955 Illawarra
~1980 Ulladulla

As I've said here before, this frugivore (Figbird, White-headed Pigeon,
Koel & Channel-billed Cuckoo) invasion through coastal NSW is fascinating
but it started decades too early for anthropogenic climate change to be
an explanation (not that Mike suggested this).
