To Grameme Turner Graeme, I think others may have offered, but if you want I have a dedicated slide scanner which hitches up (technical term) to your computer, and is not being used at the moment. You are quite welcome to it to have a go and find out for yourself how time consuming it is. It would then help to make decisions about which way to go. Like Russell's this is a one-at-a-time machine and is slow, but then all scanning is slow.
