Everyone,
Nick Livanos and I will be spending 2 weeks in November birding around the
above mentioned areas. This is our first trip 'north' and want to see
everything these areas have to offer. We're mainly focusing on the Mackay area
with many local species being ticks for us.
We're desperately seeking local contacts who can give us the best spots and
maybe/possibly/hopefully show us around.
Of course we'll take any information we can get so feel free to send me your
lists and sightings.
Our plan is to spend 2 days driving to Mackay via the inland route, 4-6 days in
the Mackay area (birding within 150km), 2-3 nights in Rockhampton and the
remaining time around Sunshine coast / Brisbane area.
My appologises for the following list but these are our target species. Some
maybe ridiculously out of range or very hard to find but we're hopeful.
