Hi Tony,

Black Falcons glide on flat wings, Brown usually upswept, sometimes appearing somewhat flat. Black's tail is longer giving different overall shape in flight. Completely dark underwing in Black, paler flight feathers in Brown. Blacks hunt birds on the wing (like a Peregrine), Bowns usually hunt ground prey by either hovering or launching attack from a perch (like a Kestrel). When perched Black's head more rounded, Brown's flatter on top, long tail on Black.
