We did this in FNQ last September. Did a circuit Cairns,
Mission Beach, Undarra lava tubes, Atherton Tablelands, Julatten,
Cape Tribulation in three weeks. Kids had a ball and we stayed
places where I could get out in the morning or evening for some
birding. Plenty of ticks including most of the endemics.
Had a family conference to optimize the route for the various
interest groups/factions - male vs female, adult vs child,
birder vs the rest.
