Hi Birders,On 15 May 2008 volunteer bush regenerators were working on the Malabar Headland (south of Maroubra, a southern suburb of Sydney NSW)pulling out Whisky Grass when one of their number saw a strange green parrot with long legs (?) walking along the ground in the low vegetation. The group referred to a bird field guide and the observer picked out the Ground Parrot as the bird that was seen. The location was in a patch of Whisky Grass about 250 m from the STP fence. If any one is out that way it could be worth a look because two years ago a Ground Parrot was seen and photographed at that location.
