Dear All,The US Fish and Wildlife Service has just issued a publication "A guide to nestling development and aging in altricial passerines" which some might find interesting and/or useful. The species used as examples are, of course, North American, but concepts would apply equally well to Australia altricial passerine species. The publication can be downloaded as a PDF at: http://library.fws.gov/BTP/ index.html The FWS is worth a look at, as they have placed a large number of their publications online.
