I haven't personally do the Overland Track, but the high county in
Tassie, in general, is pretty sparsely populated for birds. You may
get some great species, like Black Currawong, Ground Parrot, Southern
Emu-wren and striated Fieldwren, but other species will be pretty
light on, I'm afraid. It's not that I want to dissuade you from
coming to beautiful Tassie, nor from doing the Overland Track, which
I love to do myself, but it's just a fact of life! Sigh!

and rain and little delicate mosses, toadstools, some rain,
sassafras, wombats and wallabies and iron bark flowers on the path.
