Just back from holidays so I haven't spent more than a few minutes at the pond.
Recent rain has raised the level to 1.29m on the gauge, so I wouldn't be
expecting to see much.

Last time this happened there were no rail sightings till it dropped to 1.13m.
If there's no rain I'd expect this to take a couple of weeks. If anyone sees
any Lewin's or Spotless Crakes, etc, there in the meantime please let me know.

If the rain keeps coming and the level looks like staying up for winter I'll
take the shadecloth down again unless there are any sightings from that
platform.

Location: Melway ref 54 C10, behind Mt St Joseph Girls' College in Altona,
north of the railway line. Closest parking to the northern platform (200m) is
at the corner of Galvin St and Civic Pde.
