It's been a while since the last sighting of this bird, but we saw species #151 for our property today. An Oriental Cuckoo flew past our kitchen door then settled and appeared to feed on 'Cuckoo-pint' or whatever the equivalent is in Eucalypts. Unfortunately it was typically shy and didn't stop in one spot long and didn't stay longer than about 10 minutes overall (although I did manage to get some poor pics which verify ID) Tom -- ******************************** Tom & Marie Tarrant Kobble Creek, Qld http://www.aviceda.org http://wildlife.vodpod.com/ ******************************** =============================== www.birding-aus.org birding-aus.blogspot.com To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send the message: unsubscribe (in the body of the message, with no Subject line) to: =============================== |
