Hi All

With the pasing of Cyclone Ophelia miles off the coast it ws thought to be another boring cyclone.

It was certinally looking that way but mid afternoon I located 6 nest Swiftlets (GOOD LUCK ON THE SPECIES)

2 had completly dark rumps
1 had a very pale rump
3 others had off white rumps similar to the birds seen last season.
George Swann and Chris Hassell came down to check them out also

They were again comming incredably low between the dunes that we were standing on near the Port.

Photos are not as good as last years due to poor light and the speed at which these guys were moving at.

2 were seen again briefly this morning but the cloud has lifted and many of the Swallows they were associating with have also departed for now.

God I love Broome sometimes.

Cheers Adrian
