We have had several fleeting glimpses of what my son and I are pretty sure is one of these flying overhead in our neighbourhood of late. Apart from colour up close, are there any reliable distinguishing features that we can look for? glimpses are often at a distance, and are brief. Also saw red-brow and double-barred finches here in the neighbourhood this morning - first time for double-bars here. Thanks in advance.
