The news item was about the largest flock of birds ever recorded in Australia??? half a million Banded Stilts. What about the Oriental Pratincoles near Broome a couple of years ago. How many were there of them? Maybe they were referring to the largest flock ever recorded of Banded Stilts. I may have missed some of the salient points of the item as I was working at the time.
