last week while driving up bucketts way between stroud and gloucester I found a freshly road-killed kookaburra (still warm), with it's live mate sitting beside it. I removed the dead bird off the road to avoid it's mate sharing the same fate. Many years ago near gloucester I witnessed the same thing with dollarbirds, it's a sight that never fails to upset me. ==============================www.birding-aus.org birding-aus.blogspot.com To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send the message: unsubscribe (in the body of the message, with no Subject line) to: ============================= |
