Isn't the increase in Channel-bills in Sydney and Newcastle related to the 
increase in Pied Currawongs that are now more common in these cities?

I saw one at Wollongong (about 10km north) in 2005 (Feb I think) on my way down 
to a pelagic trip which I thought was a long way south for these guys.

I was on last Sat's pelagic out of Rose Bay and the first bird we saw when
we got back was a Channel-billed
