It would be great to have a little more detail such as the state - not
necessarily in the subject line, but in the body of the mail. As for looking
up on a mapping site, I find it invaluable - if nothing else simply to
locate nearest large towns, airports and so forth. Personally I use Google
Maps.

Well yes Bill but why should people have to look things like that up? It is
really no trouble to the writer to put it in (writers know where they were
we hope) and probably saves a number of other people from spending/wasting
time
In fact your message shows what a bore it could be - the poor old visitor or
newcomer would might have to work out which of a number of locations it
might be - in this case they are all the same area but sometimes they are in
different states!
(I have been guilty of this myself so i know it's easy to do - but the
response has pointed out it was a nuisance to other people.)
