That's great Val, I can just imagine it too! We did think it might be a phone, or a frog, but the call really echoed around the reeds, and it wasn't regular enough for a mobile. We also heard it both in the evening and the next morning, in 2 different spots. I suppose it could have been some intrepid birder, deep in the reed beds...but I will be very disappointed if it is!
