David Mitford advised me that today he saw from Magic Pt, Maroubra the following - 4 White-headed Petrels; 1 Cape Petrel; a 'white-phase' Southern Giant Petrel (amongst 2 darker birds); 85 Wedge-tailed and 2 Sooty Shearwaters; 2 Wandering; 16 Shy, 42 Black-browed and 28 Yellow-nosed Albatrosses as well as 4 Brown Skua. I predicted someone will see White-headed Petrels and the returning dark shearwaters this week. Edwin PS - It is great when you can see these birds from land and get good to excellent views from time to time. Do you really need to go on a pelagic trip!!! =============================== www.birding-aus.org birding-aus.blogspot.com To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send the message: unsubscribe (in the body of the message, with no Subject line) to: =============================== |
