After a days walk with Alice Springs bushwalkers today it was a very pleasnt
drive back from Hamilton Downs Youth Camp. Approx 5 kms from youth camp there
was a flock of approx 25 red tailed black cockatoos and very shortly down the
road there was a grey falcon.
Other birds seen today were western bowerbird, redcapped robin, chestnut rumped
thornbill, white backed swallow, black faced woodswallow, weebills and rainbow
bee eaters have returned. Also grey crowned babblers.
last weekend on the bushwalk just on the northern side of
Inarnalanga pass were red browed pardalote and painted finch.
Friday the 17/807 two major mitchell cockatoos in creek near Temple bar caravan
park on Ilparpa road.
Yes, grey falcons do exist, come and live in central Australia and go about
your business and you will see them!
Johnny, for your info this grey falcon wasn't doing anything just sitting on a
dead branch of a tree
