If the govt had any commitment at all to conservation and had an ounce
of gumption and backbone they'd just acquire the land and tell people
who object to go get a life. High-handed ? Yes, but it's the only way
to get through to some people.
Tony.

Subject: Red Gum news poll, URGENT
Win TV News are running a phone poll on the VEAC investigation...
Please circulate and get as many people to vote as you can.
This week's question is "Do you agree with VEAC's recommendation to turn
public land along the Murray River into National Park?"
To answer YES, dial 1902 555 185.
Calls cost fifty five cents including GST and are higher for mobiles.
There will be an update on the Poll in Wednesday's Win News, and final
results in Friday night's bulletin.
Field and Game have circulated an email, and results are currently 95%
AGAINST new parks.
Please make a call.
