G'day Steve and all,
I can remember seeing Grey-crowned Babblers (and Red-rumped Parrots) at Nudgee
many years ago when my Grandfather was living in a flat near the clubhouse. I
used to really look forward to visiting so I could see them.
More recently while living at Murrumba Downs in the Pine Shire just north of
the Brisbane City boundary I had them on my yard list as a small remnant
remained in the suburb while most of the land has been developed. Towards the
end of the three years I was there there were only about three birds left that
I would see regularly. There is also a population at the North Pine Dam Water
Treatment Plant which is getting closer to the edge of suburbia.
