Thats great to hear Steve - it is some years since I also saw them up
there at Nudgee- certainly very uncommon around Brisbane and it will
be interesting to see if anyone reports others. I was recently in
Gayndah in the South Burnett region and was thoroughly entertained
and captivated by a large colony resident in the garden who were
building a nest.

Hello all.I don't know if this is common knowledge among Brisbane
birders,
but there has been a colony of Grey-crowned Babblers resident at
Nudgee golf
course (just near Brisbane Airport) for many years. I first came
across them
about 15 years ago during a round of golf. As I don't play there
any more I
have often wondered how they have fared over the years. Yesterday I
was
delighted to see & photograph 3 from the cycle path at the rear of the
course. It's great to know they are still holding on so close to
the city. I
wonder if Brisbane birders know of any other colonies so close by.
