in the area who values the peaceful ambience of
the valley to try and attend this meeting if
possible.

Dear All,
Lithgow City Council confirms Heliport Caperteee
DA 319/06 will be deliberated 4th June 2007
The latest news of importance is that Council
deliberation of DA 319/06 Heliport Capertee takes
place on Monday evening 4th June at Council
Chambers 180 Mort Street Lithgow. Council Meeting
starts at 6.00pm with the Policy and Strategy
Committee Meeting. The Heliport will be
deliberated at the Finance and Services Committee
Meeting which starts at 7.00pm. As a matter of
urgency, I encourage all able to attend this
Meeting of Council to do so? the more attendees
against the development the better. The Proponent
will, no doubt, have his cohort in the public
gallery.
It is difficult to judge which way the decision
will go. In this round of the battle, far fewer
Submissions were received by Council than was the
case in the first instance. Admittedly, this was
also the case with Submissions in favour, but
CVEG would be in a better position had greater
numbers of "against" responses gone in. We can
but hope that some sort of wisdom, which will
preserve Capertee Valley's ambiance, that of the
Greater Blue Mountains World Heritage Area and
the peace and well- being of those who live near
the proposed heliport site, will prevail.

Everyone who sent a Submission to LCC re: the
Heliport will receive a letter, from Council,
advising of Council's intention to deliberate on
4/6. My understanding is that LCC's Report on DA
319/06 will be available this Friday, 1st June.
