A "stobie pole" is a South Australian endemic (designed by James Stobie of the Adelaide Electricity Supply Company), so South Australians are really quite justified in calling their species (stobii??) by that name...

A good argument to encourage EVERYONE to accept and use the 'official' Christidis and Boles names.

Otherwise confusion reigns!!!
