Willie Wagtails died out in Wurundjeri Walk several years back (They used to breed there 7-16 years ago). There has been one there this week so this looks like an autumnal movement to me. Other birds that have turned up in the last fortnight that had locally died out include, Grey Fantail, White- browed Scrubwren, Scarlet Robin, and White-plumed Honeyeaters.

Is collective movement by Wilie Wagtails documented? In many years around March there are higher numbers than usual at Elsternwick Park near me, so I wonder if autumn movements are normal?
