Hi It's easier to know when the migratory birds arrive in spring than to be sure that they have left for the winter. A few weeks ago the Channel-billed Cuckoos, Dollarbirds and Koel all fell silent, but were still around. I think the CBC and Dollarbirds left this week but there was a pair of Koel around Saturday. Interesting- I guess the hormones have settles down and they are no longer territorial, so no longer need to advertise. Cheers Colin Driscoll Location: Bolton Point on western Lake Macquarie. =============================== www.birding-aus.org birding-aus.blogspot.com To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send the message: unsubscribe (in the body of the message, with no Subject line) to: =============================== |
