Sorry for the late posting, but the weekend before last (Sunday 19th November) I headed out to Pitt Town Lagoon to look for the Ruff and Wood Sandpipers. No luck with either of these birds, but I did see several Nutmeg Mannikins among larger flocks of Chestnut-breasted Mannikins. Are Nutmeg Mannikins common in this area?
