Hi allI spent the weekend at Hawks Nest ( about 60kms north of Newcastle NSW ) and the highlight was a , you guessed it, Square-tailed Kite soaring low over the main street and shops. Presumably too far to be the "Coopernook birds" over 110kms to the north or the Maitland birds 60 odd kms to the south ? Does anybody have any records for this area ?
