Hi Greg
I was wondering why you have ruled out Triller because of it being compared in size to a noisy Miner? I thought that was an apt comparison. I'm sure that field guides/ HANZAB etc prove me wrong in absolute measurements but i reckon i would describe it that size myself as a rough guide to someone. Also having seen how many White-winged Trillers were at Bowra when we were there in late August, i would think juvenile Triller a great chance!
Cheers

Hi Merrilyn, Tim,

The size 'about the size of a Noisy Miner' rules out triller. Olive-backed Oriole is the right size but the plumage is more typical of a juvenile Cicadabird, which is what I believe that it is.
