Folks, At Penrhyn this morning at high tide on the sandspit, north-easterly 4-5, sunny and warming up fast! Bar-tailed Godwit 28 Red Knot 8 White-Fronted Tern 1 (2 yesterday) Crested Tern 12 Red-Necked Stint 0 (9 yesterday pm) Curlew Sandpiper 1 (0 yesterday) P Golden Plover 0 (6 yesterday pm) Sharpies 11 Silver Gull 34 L-Black Cormorant 3 Other terns Nil WB Sea Eagle 1 (circling very high up, just visible to naked eye) Pelican 1 Yellow-Faced HE 1 (flying around the spit and the scrub behind) No other birds on the estuary except 3 Silver Gulls opposite the main boat ramp.
