Hi All, Was out earlier tonight at Kedron Brook Wetlands near the Brisbane Airport, and observed some very strange quail behaviour. Has anyone on the list seen Brown Quail take off together, fly as a tight flock, and land together before? I'm used to having them scatter in all directions, so this stood out quite strongly. Also they were making odd chattering calls, another thing I've never heard Brown Quail do in flight (and I've never heard them make that particular call before). Regards, Chris ps. a couple of Grass Owls made an appearance once the sun had fully set, as did several million mozzies. =============================== www.birding-aus.org birding-aus.blogspot.comTo unsubscribe from this mailing list, send the message: unsubscribe (in the body of the message, with no Subject line) to: =============================== |
