Terry,
Out of interest, where do you live (Town, State)? From my knowledge of
Wattlebirds, you only get Reds on the mainland and Yellows only in
Tasmania.

In NSW
Sighted the first Galahs yesterday. There were a flock of about 20
Compared
To the normal of about 70-100.They also don't seem to like the cold and
Disappear from my area for about 3-4 months. Have not sighted either Red
Or
Yellow Wattlebird at present. I hope that they have not been chased away
By
The large local Magpie and Butcherbird population which is getting very
Agro
So must be close to breeding.

Terry,
Thanks for that, I was totally unaware that SC Cockatoos migrate! Most
Areas
They are present all year, but obviously not so at Orange. What were the
Arrival, and dept dates for 2004 and 2005 and what sort of numbers are
We
Talking about!
Alan
