A couple of firsts for the season for me today with Latham's Snipe and
Sharp-tailed Sandpiper, both close to Gatton this-afternoon (Friday 25
August).

Rainbow Bee-eaters are present at regular breeding sites, Superb, Red-backed
and Variegated Fairy-wrens are all back in full plumage, and Striated
Pardalotes and White-browed Scrubwrens have already brought off young.

Spring is very much in the air.
