Hi Tom, I have no legal background but some experience with community organisations. A requirement for a "Currency of Public Liability Insurance to a minimum of $10,000,000.00 (that's correct....ten million dollars!)," is quite routine, even for small organisations, and can usually be obtained by shopping around with a few insurance agencies. Actually I would have though that they would already have this and wonder why they would ask it of an individual. I would have thought that normally they would just require a person to sign a statement that any activity is at the person's own risk. Although I also thought that this has very little bearing if some mishap or negligence does actually occur. I wonder whether they are testing for your response. Philip |
