Good luck with finding a twitch and book sales. You'll almost be there for the start of the Scilly Season. I certainly remember the big twitches in the UK. My biggest experience and perhaps claim to fame was twitching the Golden-Winged Warbler that turned up in Kent in a supermarket car park of all places back in the late 80's! It was a good job I got a day off from the boss as I and a number of others were pictured on the front page of the Telegraph! From memory a few thousand turned up for this event over the following days. Heard you on the radio - always good to hear someone promoting what we do, even though few understand! Cheers Simon. |
