Hi all,
A group of about 20 people attended a Cumberland Bird Observers' Club
outing to Magic Point Maroubra (Sydney) yesterday.
Conditions were fairly good for viewing with some light rain in the
morning becoming sunny in the afternoon. Winds were very slight from
the north-west.
Highlights were four species of Albatross (two only seen by those more
persistent sea watchers) and 4 Giant Petrels spp. as well as some
Hump-backed Whales and dolphins.
There was a film crew along and there is a possibility of the day being
broadcast in Sydney.
Species list is below thanks to Ian McLean.
