Hi all Yesterday I saw at least 20 Major Mitchells at Galga, in the Murray Mallee, about half-way between Waikerie and Murray Bridge. Given that there is very little good mallee left in this area, I was surprised by the size of the flock, and their relative tameness. I had the work digital SLR with me which only has a 55mm lens, and was able to take many pics, which turned out quite reasonable after a bit of sharpening and cropping. One of them appears on the front page of my website.
