This is very interesting, and it is notable that despite a reputable
reference text (Morris, McGill & Holmes 1981"Handlist of Birds in NSW" as
below), Pizzey and Knight and Simpson and Day have PHRs extending only to
the Qld border with no extension into NSW inland, and Slater has a map
showing (incorrectly) that Easterns and PHRs intergrade extensively into SE
Qld, again with no inland southern extension into NSW.
What does the map in Morecomb show?

are however quite common around Narrabri and Warialda, and across to
Inverell and up to the Queensland border.
