Don't want to prolong the dog thread too much but the BA supplement on
'Shorebird Conservation in Australia' (Wingspan, Dec. 2002) had quite a bit
to say about dogs but not, as far as I can remember, about children. David
Paton et al published on disturbance distances from a variety of causes in
2002 with dogs the worst problem.
But then at important roosts I've seen children throwing rocks at seabirds and riding BMX bikes over the rock platforms.
