In my garden several years ago, a pair of Little Wattle birds built a nest in a hanging fern, 4 eggs were laid & 4 babies hatched. I had taken my Grandchildren to see the birds & after they left I went back to check on the hatchlings. They had gone & there were about 6 Sparrows in the nest. Carnivorus Sparrows? Needless to say I had several upset children too.
