Hi PhilipBoth "ringnecks" have formed feral colonies in Australia. Streptopelia 'risoria' (now generally seen as a captive bred S. roseogrisea) in huge numbers in Alice Springs (with a few elsewhere) and Psittacula krameri at a couple of places I've heard about although they seem to have vanished. But with climate change such "sleepers" could erupt. Red-whiskered Bulbul could do that in Melbourne. Exerminate! Exterminate! Michael Norris (chief Dalek) |
