Hi all,I grew up at Woolooware, in southern Sydney, and began my interest in birds in the 1960's. One of the first birds that I encountered was the Red-rumped Parrot. It was common on the two golf courses, one at each end of our road. They would often fly over our yard moving from one course to the other. I have observed the species there in recent years.
