black and white Malurus leucopterus on mainland (!?)

The pure Black and White form of the White-winged Fairy-wren has not been 
officially recorded on the mainland.  There have been a number of reports, 
but usually when checked out, they are a very deep blue.  The Blue & White 
form varies from very bright blue to a very deep blue that can look black 
unless you get good light.
