Good places for foreign birders to try:
Lloyd Nielsen's site has a wide range of birding resources:
http://www.birdingaustralia.com.au/
Andrew Isles is an outstanding natural history bookstore here in
Australia that provides great mail order service:
http://www.andrewisles.com/
If you're in the US, apart from Amazon and Buy.com, the LA Audubon
Society bookstore stocks some of the speciality titles. (For example,
they typically stock Jo Wieneke's Queensland book.)

Also for the US, Buteo Books can also be worth a shot, but they don't
seem to focus on Australia. And, one more, Flora & Fauna Books in
Seattle is worth a try.
NHBS in the UK appears to have the most comprehensive selection of
natural history titles on the planet:

If anyone knows of other excellent bookstores, I'd love to get some
more recommendations.
