I was fortunate enough to get my first observation of a Sooty Owl in Bunya Mountains over the easter break. The bird is resident in a strangler fig which the scenic circle walk (from Dandabah) passes through not far from the track entrance. A difficult one to spot in the semi darkness and a real neck craner but nonetheless a real thrill to tick this elusive species! cheers peter ==============================www.birding-aus.org birding-aus.blogspot.com To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send the message: unsubscribe (in the body of the message, with no Subject line) to: ============================= |
