Hi Bob, Nice report. Just one thing, does attracting the STGrasswrens mean tapes, pishing or the Audobon squeaker? By just sitting on an uncomfortable rock 50m south of the lookout and waiting perhaps fifteen minutes I got some great views three or four years ago. With the Kalkadoon GW, after many futile attempts at finding them honestly , we finally resorted to playing the first three calls of the Dusky GW tape, (actually of the Kalkadoon taped and named Dusky before the split from Dusky) with instantaneous results. The White-throateds at Gunlom and Blacks at Mitchell River came in to the Audobon squeaker. Other birdos have told me of similar responses to tapes from other Grasswrens. Cheers Michael =============================== www.birding-aus.org birding-aus.blogspot.com To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send the message: unsubscribe (in the body of the message, with no Subject line) to: =============================== |
