Hi all,

I've received the following email to pass on.

Keith,

Would you forward this to birding-aus as I cannot use my computer, no power.
Thanks for your concern. All the birders I have contacted are fine though
some have suffered significant damage to gardens and outbuildings.

When I am on line I will have some interesting observations about birds
during and soon after a cyclone to relate. I have only found two dead
birds. Birds are very hungry and because of this they will feed very close to
people. Canopy birds feeding on or near the ground are now a common
sight. The forests around Yungaburra are a mess. Very few leafy trees
standing. There is the threat of weed invasion now that the forest is so
open and the light levels are greatly increased. I will keep you all
informed.

Regards,
Alan

(Alan Gillanders I assume.)
