Hello All,
Klaus and his family are all safe and well. They did sustain a small amount
of damage to the roof of their house which has been patched for the moment.
Most of the damage in their area has been to the vegetation with many trees
brought down and others stripped of all leaves.
While their phone has been reconnected, the power supply looks like being
out for up to 2 - 3 weeks so until they are back on their feet I will be
attending to their e-mail.
Klaus and his family would like to thank everyone for their concern and best
wishes.

Has anyone heard how Klaus and Barbara Uhlenhut fared in back of
Innisfail ? I've tried to ring them several times but obviously the

Clifton Beach got off fairly lightly, being at the northern edge of
Larry, mainly branches down, just the occasional tree down. Our evodia
is not much more than a trunk but it will revive quickly. Only got
power back on late yesterday.
The spangled drongos were the first to emerge as the winds subsided,
very subdued calls at first and then after about an hour they were
calling at full strength. The sunbirds were also early emergers, low to
the ground in search of nectar from the pentas which had survived the
buffetting because of their sheltered position.
