Dear Aus-Birders We saw 3 Glossy-black Cockatoo on the hill behind (south) of the Sydney Sports Academy just above the west end of Narrabeen Lagoon. They were feeding on casuarina as usual. This is the nearest we have seen them to the CBD on the North Shore and the only time on the North Shore that we have seen them outside of the Hawkesbury Drainage. 1 male and 2 females. They allowed for a very close approach so we got good photos even thought the evening light was fading. Kevin and Wojciech |
