I would be surprised if the PO was not still there. 3 years running his
female got killed (I picked up the one that was killed in 2003? or 2004? -
autopsy showed she had been hit by car). I would be surprised if he isn't
still trying to successfully breed, he needs to find an older wiser female
though.
For all your entertainment, at the time I had not been trained to handle
raptors, I was told I was going to pick up a tawny frogmouth. When I got
there ... my goodness that was the biggest tawny I ever saw! I thought it
might be a Papuan tawny. Then I saw the feet ....
Fortunately for me and unfortunately for her she was already dieing from
internal bleeding and comatosed.
